Foto: Steve Spartana\/Johns Hopkins University Magazine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Universums acceleration \u00e4r ingen illusion, lyder dagsrapporten fr\u00e5n de astronomiska f\u00e4ltarbetarna.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hubblesite.org\/newscenter\/archive\/releases\/2011\/08\/full\/\" target=\"_self\">Enligt &#8220;senaste nytt&#8221; fr\u00e5n HST, Hubble-teleskopet,<\/a> s\u00e5 kan med st\u00f6rsta sannolikhet nu sl\u00e5s fast att <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">universums generella acceleration<\/span> \u00e4r ett faktum. Id\u00e9n om att v\u00e5r del av kosmos skulle\u00a0 ligga ganska centralt inuti en relativt materiafattig bubbla p\u00e5 8 miljarder ljus\u00e5rs diameter och att det skulle kunna f\u00f6rklara accelerationen som en chim\u00e4r, st\u00e4mmer inte.<\/p>\n<p>Hur exakt det ena h\u00e4nger ihop med det andra f\u00e5r kosmologerna vara bussiga och f\u00f6rklara p\u00e5 ett pedagogiskt vis, men av bara\u00a0 farten har forskarna nu ocks\u00e5 fastslagit Hubble-konstanten med\u00a0 en inbakad os\u00e4kerhet p\u00e5 3,3 procent.<\/p>\n<p>* Felmarginalen har pressats med 30 procent sen f\u00f6ra m\u00e4tningen, fr\u00e5n 2009.<\/p>\n<p>* Dagssiffran har du h\u00e4r:<\/p>\n<p><strong>73,8 kilometer per sekund per megaparse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e5n Hubble-pressmesset:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It means that for every additional million parsecs (3.26 million light-years) a galaxy is from Earth, the galaxy appears to be traveling 73.8 kilometers per second faster away from us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Forskaren som lett m\u00e4tningen \u00e4r en veteran i sammanhanget, han heter <strong>Adam Riess<\/strong>, \u00e4r knuten till Johns Hopkins University i Baltimore och Space Telescope Science Institute och har i dryga dussinet \u00e5r jagat den m\u00f6rka energin. Att hitta en n\u00e5l i en h\u00f6stack \u00e4r faktiskt enklare.<\/p>\n<h2>H\u00f6rt talas om Golfklubban och Golfbollen?<\/h2>\n<p>Jag visste inte att det finns asterismer, allts\u00e5 stj\u00e4rnbilder som inte \u00e4r traditionella stj\u00e4rnbilder, som kallas <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Golfklubban <\/span>och <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Golfbollen<\/span>. Men nu vet jag &#8211; tack vare en artikel i <em>Sky and Telescope<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">S\u00e4rskilt lika \u00e4r de inte heller. Eller vad\u00a0 tycks? F\u00f6rsta ska tekniken finjusteras.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/connect\/chat\/messenger_chat.html\" target=\"_self\">NASA har en informativ chat om projektet<\/a>, och d\u00e4r kan vi se att bl a Merkurius poler kommer\u00a0 att specialstuderas kommande \u00e5r.
