Galax?<\/p>\n<p>Varje dag bjuder p\u00e5 \u00f6verraskande nyheter inom v\u00e5r vetenskap. Ett av dagens\u00a0 astronomiska &#8220;fynd&#8221; handlar t ex om Vintergatans lilla granndv\u00e4rggalax med katalogbeteckningen Segue 1 (bel\u00e4gen i Leo\/Lejonet), som \u00e4r en av de &#8220;m\u00f6rkaste&#8221; himlakropparna till dato:<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e4r forskarna r\u00e4knar p\u00e5 galaxens massa visar det sig att den inneh\u00e5ller 3400 ggr mer m\u00f6rk materia \u00e4n vad de synliga stj\u00e4rnorna utg\u00f6r. Detta g\u00f6r himlakroppen till en av de m\u00f6rkaste formationer vi k\u00e4nner till i universum. Stj\u00e4rnorna\u00a0 r\u00f6rde sig gemensamt, och det var n\u00e4r astronomerna uppt\u00e4ckte stj\u00e4rnornas hastigheter som de f\u00f6rstod att m\u00f6rk materia m\u00e5ste ligga bakom skillnaden mellan den f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntade farten och den observerade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"desc clear-left\">N\u00e4r vi subtraherar alla objekt p\u00e5 himlen som inte har med Segue 1 att g\u00f6ra fr\u00e5n dv\u00e4rggalaxen, se vi konkret hur m\u00f6rkt h\u00e4r \u00e4r. Den m\u00f6rka materien formligen lyser med sin n\u00e4rvaro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"desc clear-left\"><strong>* Segue 1 anses ha en massa <\/strong>motsvarande 600 000 solmassor &#8211; men bara 1000 lysande medlemmar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"desc clear-left\"><strong>* Ett bonusresultat <\/strong>\u00e4r \u00e5ldersbest\u00e4mningen av Segue-sj\u00e4rnorna, som anses vara n\u00e5gra av de \u00e4ldsta iakttagna.<\/p>\n<p>Jakten p\u00e5 \u00e4nnu &#8220;m\u00f6rkare&#8221; galaxer har redan inletts.<\/p>\n<h2>Vestas vridning<\/h2>\n<p>Tack till min vicebloggare <strong>Christian Vestergaard <\/strong>som hittat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission_pages\/dawn\/news\/pia14321-vid.html\">DAWN-bilder p\u00e5 Vestas rotation<\/a>.
