Den inneh\u00e5ller hela cocktailen av extrema stj\u00e4rnor inklusive pulsarer, neutronstj\u00e4rnor, ett misst\u00e4nkt svart h\u00e5l och, \u00f6verraskande f\u00f6r klothopar, minst en planetarisk nebulosa.<\/p>\n<h2>ISS f\u00f6r nattugglor<\/h2>\n<p>Den internationella rymdstationen, ISS, kan ses av klarsynta nattugglor fram till mitten av augusti.<\/p>\n<p>Passagetider f\u00f6rmedlas bl a h\u00e4r av Tycho Brahe-planetariet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tycho.dk\/article\/view\/793\/1\/125\/\">fr\u00e5n K\u00f6penhamns horisont<\/a>,\u00a0 passager och h\u00f6jder \u00f6ver horisonten\u00a0 som \u00f6verenst\u00e4mmer med Malm\u00f6s.<\/p>\n<h2>Rekordf\u00e5ngst av \u00f6ppna stj\u00e4rnhopar<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/esologo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-17852\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/esologo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"61\" height=\"80\" \/><\/a>Vissa teleskop, p\u00e5 jorden eller i rymden,\u00a0 fungerar p\u00e5 samma\u00a0 s\u00e4tt som en tr\u00e5l &#8211; de sopar upp allt i sin v\u00e4g, och h\u00e4r \u00e4r ett dagsaktuellt exempel p\u00e5 ett ovanligt lyckat fiskaf\u00e4nge:<br \/>\nI ett slag har <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/sweden\/news\/eso1128\/\">ESO-astronomerna hittat 96 nya \u00f6ppna stj\u00e4rnhopar<\/a>, detta genom det infrar\u00f6da teleskopet VISTA p\u00e5 ESO:s Paranal-observatorium.<\/p>\n<p>Och det \u00e4r f\u00f6retr\u00e4desvis duktiga sydamerikanska astronomer, som st\u00e5r f\u00f6r bedriften.<\/p>\n<p>I tidigare stj\u00e4rnlodningar har dessa sm\u00e5 ljussvaga\u00a0 hopar varit osynliga d\u00e4rf\u00f6r att de legat o\u00e5tkomliga genom att de varit inb\u00e4ddade i Vintergatans stoftmoln, men i infrar\u00f6tt upph\u00e4vs deras anonymitet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text_intro pr_first\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/eso1128a.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-17785\" title=\"Massor av stj\u00e4rnhopar!\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/eso1128a-1024x887.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/eso1128a-1024x887.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/eso1128a-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/eso1128a.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>* I ett \u00e5r har projektet VISTA Variables in the Via Lactea (VVV) varit ig\u00e5ng<\/strong>. och\u00a0 nu kommer resultaten p\u00f6 om p\u00f6 fr\u00e5n Vintergatans stj\u00e4rnbildningsomr\u00e5den, de centrala delarna inte minst..<\/p>\n<p><strong>* De flesta av de nya hoparna \u00e4r sm\u00e5<\/strong> och best\u00e5r kanske av 10-20 enskilda stj\u00e4rnor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>* Hittills\u00a0 har Vintergatsforskarna identifierat<\/strong> 2500 \u00f6ppna stj\u00e4rnhopar men det tros att det finns kanske 30 000 av dem i v\u00e5r hemmagalax.<\/p>\n<h2>Risken f\u00f6r stor asteroidkrock har \u00f6kat<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/barringer-crater.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17868\" style=\"width: 206px; height: 139px;\" title=\"Fulltr\u00e4ff f\u00f6r 55 000 \u00e5r sen - Barringer-kratern i Arizona.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/barringer-crater-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/barringer-crater-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/barringer-crater.jpg 510w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><strong>Coryn Bailer-Jones<\/strong> heter en forskare knuten till Max Planck-institutet f\u00f6r astronomi (MPIA) i Tyskland, som <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mpia.de\/Public\/menu_q2e.php?Aktuelles\/PR\/2011\/PR110801\/PR_110801_en.html\">r\u00e4knat p\u00e5 riskerna f\u00f6r en st\u00f6rre komet\/asteroid-krasch<\/a> med jorden. Han\u00a0 underk\u00e4nner tidigare statistiska unders\u00f6kningar och har uppt\u00e4ckt en liten men \u00d6KANDE risk f\u00f6r en katastrofal fulltr\u00e4ff \u00f6ver tid, allts\u00e5 de senaste 250 miljoner \u00e5ren.<\/p>\n<p>Ett problem i all analys \u00e4r erosionen p\u00e5 jorden (vind, regn, sn\u00f6 etc etc). Mindre nedslagskratrar eroderar snabbt, och \u00e4ldre kratrar har haft mer tid p\u00e5 sig att erodera. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r \u00e4r st\u00f6rre\u00a0 och yngre kratrar l\u00e4ttare att uppt\u00e4cka i dag \u00e4n mindre och \u00e4ldre. Kratrar st\u00f6rre \u00e4n 35 km i diameter och yngre \u00e4n 400 miljoner \u00e5r f\u00f6ljer inte denna erosionstrend.<\/p>\n<p>I diskussionen f\u00f6rekommer ocks\u00e5 den sp\u00f6klika stj\u00e4rnan Nemesis, en sorts ok\u00e4nd tvilling till solen i Vintergatan, en stj\u00e4rna som en del astronomer tror periodiskt st\u00f6r <strong>Oorts<\/strong> kometmoln och skakar loss en skur farliga kometer mot v\u00e5r riktning i planetsystemet. Den teorin kan nu avf\u00f6ras, menar MPIA-forskaren.<\/p>\n<h2>Kvackkvack p\u00e5 jorden<\/h2>\n<p>Det sl\u00e5r mig hur &#8220;asymmetriskt&#8221; f\u00f6rdelat livet i universum verkar vara: Antingen kryllar det av liv som h\u00e4r p\u00e5 jorden, p\u00e5 n\u00e4stan alla djup, p\u00e5 ytan, i luften hur l\u00e5ngt ut som helst&#8230; eller s\u00e5 talar den STORA TYSTNADEN d\u00e4r ute. Jag undrar om jag n\u00e5nsin sj\u00e4lv kommer att f\u00e5 uppleva ett definitivt bevis p\u00e5 utomjordiskt liv. Det verkar inte s\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Ett gott exempel p\u00e5 &#8220;liv p\u00e5 jorden&#8221;-bevis \u00e4r d\u00e4remot n\u00e5gra empatiska bilder som kompisen och konstn\u00e4rsv\u00e4nnen <strong>Hanne Hjerrild Lundstr\u00f6m <\/strong> skickat \u00f6ver.<\/p>\n<p>Andungarna har precis kommit till v\u00e4rlden,\u00a0 p\u00e5 g\u00e5rden p\u00e5 baksidan av Malm\u00f6 konsthall.
