{"id":19373,"date":"2011-09-04T09:30:31","date_gmt":"2011-09-04T08:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/?p=19373"},"modified":"2011-09-04T12:48:24","modified_gmt":"2011-09-04T11:48:24","slug":"nr-216-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/2011\/09\/04\/nr-216-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Nr 216 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>100-\u00e5rsjubilar: Variabeln Polaris<\/h2>\n<p>Ett litet men dock jubileum:<\/p>\n<p>Det hade sen mitten av 1800-talet misst\u00e4nkts via visuella skattningar att <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Polaris<\/span>, Polstj\u00e4rnan (\u03b1 Ursa Min), var variabel med en svag, knappt p\u00e5visbar amplitud.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/hs-2006-02-f-web.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19433\" title=\"NASA\/ESA\/HST:s spaceartists uppfattning av Polaris-systemet\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/hs-2006-02-f-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/hs-2006-02-f-web.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/hs-2006-02-f-web-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a>Men det \u00e4r f\u00f6rst i \u00e5r vi garanterat kan fira 100 \u00e5r sen detta definitivt slogs fast, f\u00f6r d\u00e5, 1911,\u00a0 p\u00e5visade v\u00e5r store\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.adsabs.harvard.edu\/cgi-bin\/nph-iarticle_query?bibcode=1911AN....189...89H&amp;db_key=AST&amp;page_ind=1&amp;plate_select=NO&amp;data_type=GIF&amp;type=SCREEN_GIF&amp;classic=YES\">danske astronomlegendar <strong>Ejnar Hertzsprung<\/strong> att stj\u00e4rnan var en\u00a0 variabel<\/a> &#8211; dessutom en \u03b4 Cepheid. Hertzsprung avrapporterade sina fynd i <em>Astronomische Nachrichten<\/em>,\u00a0 och det var en gedigen rapport han l\u00e4mnade till den astronomiska offentlgheten, byggd p\u00e5 m\u00e4tningar p\u00e5 flera hundra fotografiska pl\u00e5tar under 50 intensiva n\u00e4tter. Som j\u00e4mf\u00f6relsestj\u00e4rna anv\u00e4nde Hertzsprung en 6,5-magnituders stj\u00e4rna\u00a0 20 b\u00e5gminuter bort.<\/p>\n<p>I min gamla ryska generalkatalog \u00f6ver variabler klassas Polaris som en \u03b4 Cep-variabel av typen CW, och dess period anges till 3,9 dygn. Det finns numera en del intressanta synpunkter p\u00e5 &#8220;\u00f6vertoner&#8221; i Polaris ljuskurva, vilket anses tyda p\u00e5 att stj\u00e4rnan \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g att stabilisera sig som en mera normal \u03b4 Cep-stj\u00e4rna och d\u00e5 med perioden 5,7 dygn.<\/p>\n<p>Redan <strong>William Herschel <\/strong>hade i sin jakt p\u00e5 parallaxmetoden genom mikrometerstudier av dubbelstj\u00e4rnor runt 1780-81 konstaterat att Polstj\u00e4rnan hade en komponent, i dag kallad Polaris B. Sen dess har ytterligare en f\u00f6ljeslagare iakttagits, som Hubble Space Telescope f\u00e5tt korn p\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Polaris ligger cirka en grad fr\u00e5n den exakta nordpolen (n\u00e4rmast dit kommer Polaris \u00e5r 2095-2100),, vilket g\u00f6r att det finns en hel del ljussvagare stj\u00e4rnor som ligger n\u00e4rmare den fiktiva punkt p\u00e5 norra stj\u00e4rnhimmeln som stj\u00e4rnorna tycks snurra runt. Redan diskuteras p\u00e5 allvar av italienaren <strong>Gabriele Ingrosso <\/strong>och andra <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mendeley.com\/research\/search-for-exoplanets-in-m31-with-pixellensing-and-the-pa99n2-event-revisited\/\">ifall det \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt att detektera exoplaneter i Andromedgalaxen, M31<\/a>, med hj\u00e4lp av mikrolins-tekniken.<\/p>\n<p>En misst\u00e4nkt kandidat kallad PA99N2 har redan vaskats fram.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.jb.man.ac.uk\/research\/microlensing\/\">\u00c4ven Jodrell Banks hemsida har intressant info<\/a> om tekniken &#8211; en hel forskargrupp sysslar med \u00e4mnet d\u00e4r &#8211;\u00a0 och hur mycket subtans det ligger i misstanken om en redan iakttagen M31-planet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/PA-99-N2-still-12.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19388\" title=\"Den r\u00f6da pricken \u00e4r PA99N2, ett mikrolins-&quot;event&quot; 1999 i M31:s gytter. Ett exempel i min bokhylla: Den sovjetiska boken<em> Reportage fr\u00e5n n\u00e4sta \u00e5rhundrade<\/em> (f\u00f6rfattarna hette <strong>Mihail Vassiljev <\/strong>och <strong>Sergej Gusjtjev<\/strong>, boken kom 1962 p\u00e5 svenska p\u00e5 Kronos\/Tiden).<\/p>\n<p>Den stora framtidsoptimismen handlade inte minst om att m\u00e5nbaser och bemannade interplanetariska rymdf\u00e4rder skulle bli vardagsmat ungef\u00e4r i v\u00e5r tid, men s\u00e5 blev det ju inte alls. En del prognoser om kommunikationssatelliter, mobiltelefoner, operationer &#8220;utan kniv&#8221; etc har f\u00f6rverkligats, och att &#8220;astronomin kommer att utvecklas till en mycket omfattande vetenskapsgren&#8221; slog ju 100-procentigt in.
