{"id":19541,"date":"2011-09-06T17:06:48","date_gmt":"2011-09-06T16:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/?p=19541"},"modified":"2011-09-07T04:31:04","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T03:31:04","slug":"nr-218-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/2011\/09\/06\/nr-218-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Nr 218 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"title\">Fred Hoyle, Big Bang och den f\u00f6rsvunna pennv\u00e4ssaren<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/2305pencil_sharpener.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-19550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/2305pencil_sharpener-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Jag har letat som en galning i mitt privatbibliotek efter textst\u00e4llet d\u00e4r <strong>Fred Hoyle<\/strong> &#8211; en av astronomins icke-nobelpristagare (han skulle haft Priset, i alla fall delat det med <strong>W A Fowler<\/strong> 1983 f\u00f6r arbetet med hur tyngre grund\u00e4mnen skapas i stj\u00e4rnornas inre!) &#8211; f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen anv\u00e4nde uttrycket &#8220;Big Bang&#8221; om den kosmologiska modell, som han definitivt inte st\u00e4llde upp p\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Efter visst letande &#8211; Eureka!<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r sextio \u00e5r sen publicerade Hoyle boken <em>The Nature of the Universe<\/em>, som byggde p\u00e5 ett antal BBC-f\u00f6redrag. P\u00e5 sid 102 under underrubriken &#8220;Theories of the expanding universe&#8221; kan l\u00e4sas f\u00f6rgripligheten:<\/p>\n<h3>&#8220;- &#8211; &#8211;<\/h3>\n<h3>Broadly speaking, the older ideas fall into two groups. One was that the Universe started its life a finitie time ago in a single huge explosion, and that the present\u00a0 expansion is a relic\u00a0 of the violence of this explosion. This <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">big bang <\/span>idea seemed to me to be unsatisfactory even before detailed examinations showed that it leads to serious difficulties.<\/h3>\n<h3>&#8211; &#8211; -&#8220;<\/h3>\n<p>Det var i samma bok och samma f\u00f6redrag\u00a0 han f\u00f6rutsade att det n\u00e5nstans i universum m\u00e5ste finnas ett cricketteam som kunde besegra Australiens!!!<\/p>\n<p>(Boken kom \u00e4ven p\u00e5 svenska, den hette d\u00e5 <em>V\u00e4rldsalltets byggnad<\/em>. Jag har den, visar det sig, med en h\u00e4lsning fr\u00e5n \u00f6vers\u00e4ttaren &#8211; <strong>Conrad L\u00f6nnqvist<\/strong>!!!! L\u00f6nnqvist \u00f6versatte Big Bang med &#8220;den stora skr\u00e4llen&#8221;,)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/fredhoyle.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19555\" title=\"fredhoyle\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/fredhoyle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"130\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a>Big Bang var Hoyles sk\u00e4llsord &#8211; det blev lika ber\u00f6mt inom astronomin som n\u00e4r konstfiender\u00a0 avf\u00e4rdade de franska modernisterna som &#8220;impressionister&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;According to Hoyle&#8221; &#8211; &#8220;enligt Hoyle&#8221; &#8211; blev en annan slagd\u00e4nga p\u00e5 hans tid i str\u00e5lkastarljuset.<\/p>\n<p>Jag\u00a0 har en hel del Hoyle-litteratur, inte minst hans science fiction, och jag kommer ih\u00e5g n\u00e4r han i en bok beskrev hur han kom p\u00e5 steady state-teorin. Han befann sig i familjens sommarstuga, tappade sin pennv\u00e4ssare &#8211; och kunde inte hitta den. Hoyle n\u00e4rmast rev ner sommarstugan i jakten efter den d\u00e4r pennv\u00e4ssaren.<\/p>\n<p>Den hade f\u00f6rsvunnit i tomma intet.<\/p>\n<p>V\u00e4nd p\u00e5 resonemanget och vi f\u00e5r skapande ur ingenting.<\/p>\n<p>Hoyle levde \u00e5ren 1915-2001, och f\u00f6r en fem-sex \u00e5r sen kom n\u00e5gra biografier om honom. Jag ska f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka plocka hem\u00a0 dem via n\u00e4tet. Uppenbarligen var det s\u00e5 att han inte bara hade motst\u00e5ndare inom den svenska nobelpriskommitt\u00e9n utan \u00e4ven i Cambridge, p\u00e5 hemmaplan s\u00e5 att s\u00e4ga. Mot sig hade Hoyle f\u00f6rst\u00e5s sin m\u00e5ngsidighet, sitt st\u00e4ndiga ifr\u00e5gas\u00e4ttande, sina excentriska id\u00e9er om allt mellan himmel och jord. Och sitt\u00a0 flit utanf\u00f6r katedern, Det brukar inte premieras i den akademiska v\u00e4rlden.<\/p>\n<p>I Lund fick Hoyle i alla fall 1997 ta emot ett delat Crafoord-pris, som pl\u00e5ster p\u00e5 s\u00e5ren.<\/p>\n<p>Tv\u00e5 Youtube-snuttar med Hoyle&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hm9Y62gCjUk&amp;feature=related\">finns h\u00e4r<\/a> med en yngre Hoyle om steady-state&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; och h\u00e4r den <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Z7UOTxpqAWo&amp;feature=related\">gamle Hoyle om den h\u00f6gre utbildningssituationen.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Svag magnetism p\u00e5 Sirius A<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/magnet2.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-19560\" style=\"width: 76px; height: 76px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/magnet2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>Ett forskarteam lett av <a href=\"http:\/\/univ-toulouse.academia.edu\/PascalPetit\/Papers\/714732\/Detection_of_a_weak_surface_magnetic_field_on_Sirius_A_are_all_tepid_stars_magnetic_\">astronomer fr\u00e5n franska Toulouse har identifierat ett svagt<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> &#8220;<\/span>surface magnetic field&#8221; p\u00e5 Sirius<\/a> A, allts\u00e5 huvudstj\u00e4rnan i systemet, v\u00e5r ljusaste stj\u00e4rna p\u00e5 himlavalvet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4ven Vega, ocks\u00e5 den spektralt en A-stj\u00e4rna, anses numera visa upp svaga magnetf\u00e4lt.<\/p>\n<p>Vad detta betyder f\u00f6r teoretikerna, de stackarna,\u00a0 vet jag inte, men notabelt \u00e4r det.<\/p>\n<h2>Senaste nytt om supernovan i M51<\/h2>\n<p>En gul superj\u00e4tte, som orsakat Type IIb-supernovan <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/1106.2565\">(SN 2011dh) i M51-galaxen, har vaskats fram ur Hubble-teleskopets bildskafferi.<\/a> Stj\u00e4rnan anses vara en F8-superj\u00e4tte med en ursprunglig massa p\u00e5 runt 13 +\/- 3 solmassor.<\/p>\n<p>En av forskarna bakom uppt\u00e4ckten a la &#8220;n\u00e5len i en h\u00f6stack&#8221; \u00e4r <strong>Jesper Sollerman<\/strong>, som ju \u00e4ven leder Svenska Astronomiska S\u00e4llskapet.<\/p>\n<h2>Norrk\u00f6ping har svaret<\/h2>\n<p>En bra sajt om du vill veta vad som f\u00f6rsigg\u00e5r p\u00e5 stj\u00e4rnhimlen just nu, hur planeterna st\u00e5r etc, \u00e4r Norrk\u00f6pings astronomiska klubb:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nak.se\/\">www.nak.se<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rekommenderas!<\/p>\n<h2>Missa inte den Hubble-filmen<\/h2>\n<p>Det \u00e4r <strong>Bertil Falk <\/strong> som tipsar om att vi inte f\u00e5r missa<a href=\"http:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap110905.html\"> NASA:s r\u00f6rliga filmsekvens byggd p\u00e5 Hubble-bilder tagna <\/a>under \u00e5ren 1994-2008 och som visar verkliga \u00f6verljudsr\u00f6relser i Herbig Haro 47, ett gasmoln med stj\u00e4rnbildning p\u00e5 g\u00e5ng.
