De \u00e4lskar att l\u00e4tta p\u00e5 f\u00f6rl\u00e5ten kring stj\u00e4rnbildande nebulosor, sl\u00f6ja f\u00f6r sl\u00f6ja faller och avsl\u00f6jar alltmer sp\u00e4nnande strukturer d\u00e4r ute. Den mest detaljerade bilden hittills av Carinanebulosan kommer nu t ex\u00a0 fr\u00e5n ESO:s j\u00e4tteteleskop VLT, Very Large Telescope: Tidigare ok\u00e4nda stj\u00e4rnor och STJ\u00c4RNHOPAR framtr\u00e4der, och ESO-folket yvs \u00f6ver prestationen att avlocka denna nebulosa s\u00e5 m\u00e5nga hemligheter i infrar\u00f6tt i ett svep.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/eso1208a.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-27172\" title=\"Nebulosan in p\u00e5 bara huden! Foto: ESO\/T Preibisch\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/eso1208a-1024x698.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/eso1208a-1024x698.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/eso1208a-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/eso1208a.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Det vi ser i nebulosan \u00e4r stj\u00e4rnf\u00f6dslar i &#8220;detta nu&#8221; (avst\u00e5ndet \u00e4r dock 7500 ljus\u00e5r, s\u00e5 fotonerna i dagens bilder s\u00e4ndes i v\u00e4g mot oss vid en tid d\u00e5 Mesopotamiens kultur b\u00f6rjade formas p\u00e5 allvar)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25ba Hundratals individuella exponeringar<\/strong> ligger bakom bilden som visar inte bara de ljusstarka tunga stj\u00e4rnorna utan ocks\u00e5 tusentals tills nu ok\u00e4nda ljussvaga stj\u00e4rnor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25ba Den bl\u00e4ndande stj\u00e4rnan Eta Carinae<\/strong> ligger i den nedre v\u00e4nstra delen av den nya bilden. Den omges av gasmoln som lyser tack vare den starka ultravioletta str\u00e5lningen fr\u00e5n stj\u00e4rnan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25ba Spridda \u00f6ver bilden finns <\/strong>\u00e4ven sm\u00e5 m\u00f6rka molntussar som inte ens vid infrar\u00f6da v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder \u00e4r genomskinliga. Dessa kokonger av stoft \u00e4r st\u00e4llen d\u00e4r helt nya stj\u00e4rnor h\u00e5ller p\u00e5 att bildas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25ba Den ljusstarka stj\u00e4rnhopen i mitten <\/strong>av bilden kallas Trumpler 14. \u00c4ven om den syns v\u00e4l \u00e4ven i synligt ljus framtr\u00e4der m\u00e5nga fler stj\u00e4rnor i den nya infrar\u00f6da bilden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25ba Till v\u00e4nster i bilden finns dessutom <\/strong>en klunga av gula stj\u00e4rnor. De uppt\u00e4cktes f\u00f6rst n\u00e4r den h\u00e4r bilden togs och g\u00e5r inte att se \u00f6ver huvud taget i synligt ljus. Dessa nyuppt\u00e4ckta stj\u00e4rnor \u00e4r bara n\u00e5gra av hemligheterna som avsl\u00f6jats tack vare det storslagna himmelspanoramat \u00f6verst.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/sweden\/news\/eso1208\/\">I dagens pressmess fr\u00e5n ESO \u00e5terges \u00e4ven <\/a>denna mosaik med &#8220;bitar&#8221;, detaljer, fr\u00e5n\u00a0 den stora bilden. De f\u00f6rsta spadtagen i Chile har redan tagits, och \u00e4ven om en &#8220;review panel&#8221; ska fingranska ESO-projektet s\u00e5 f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntar sig alla att det blir av.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e4sta generations yrkessastronomer kommer att ha tre makal\u00f6sa maskiner att leka med:<\/p>\n<p>E-ELT med tusentalet 1,5-meters samverkande speglar, GMT (Giant Magellan Telescope) med sju stycken 8,4-meters speglar och TMT (Thirrty Meter Telescope).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/sci_e_telescope_0205.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-27186\" title=\"Giganten E-ELT.
