This variation lets us study many of the emission processes common to other <a class=\"textTag\" href=\"http:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/gamma-ray+sources\/\" rel=\"tag\">gamma-ray sources<\/a> in unique detail.&quot;\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThese rare systems contain either a neutron star or a black hole and radiate most of their energy in the form of gamma rays. Remarkably, LMC P3 is the most luminous such system known in gamma rays, X-rays, radio waves and visible light, and it&#39;s only the second one discovered with Fermi.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tA paper describing the discovery will appear in the Oct. 1 issue of The <i>Astrophysical Journal<\/i> and is now available online.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tLMC P3 lies within the expanding debris of a supernova explosion located in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), a small nearby galaxy about 163,000 light-years away. In 2012, scientists using NASA&#39;s Chandra X-ray Observatory found a strong X-ray source within the supernova remnant and showed that it was orbiting a hot, young star many times the sun&#39;s mass. Det &auml;r sv&aring;rt att gradera n&auml;r man befinner sig mitt inne i smeten sj&auml;lv, men det roliga f&ouml;r oss var ju med s&aring; m&aring;nga nya ansikten i det v&auml;lfyllda audotoriet- en majoritet kvinnor.&nbsp; N&aring;gra best&auml;mde sig p&aring; plats f&ouml;r att bli medlemmar i ASTB!\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tLunds stadsbibliotek och deras alltiallo <strong>Magnus Lind <\/strong>&auml;r v&auml;rda en extraappl&aring;d. Biblioteket svarade bl a f&ouml;r ett speciellt Martinson-bord med diverse b&ouml;cker inklusive <strong>Knut Larssons <\/strong>seriealbum om Aniara.\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/company_logo.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"company_logo\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67396\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/company_logo.png\" width=\"107\" \/><\/a>\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tDet finns andra stadsbibliotek i ens n&auml;rhet, som inte &auml;r lika alerta som det i Lund, om jag s&auml;ger s&aring;.\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tDet var fullspikat i atriumg&aring;rden, och n&aring;got hade v&auml;l v&aring;ra PR-kampanjer inf&ouml;r m&ouml;tet spelat en roll. Obs!&nbsp; Jag ska inte skriva elakt om Akademibokhandeln\/Gleerups i forts&auml;ttningen, ity&nbsp; bokhandeln gjorde i motsats till t ex Svenska kyrkan och Domkyrkan g&auml;rna&nbsp; reklam f&ouml;r Aniara-kv&auml;llen. Dessutom fylls lagret av &quot;Aniaror&quot;p&aring;!\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tAtt det blev s&aring; bra berodde f&ouml;rst&aring;s p&aring;&nbsp; de n&auml;rvarande f&ouml;redragarna, prof<strong> Lennart Lindegren <\/strong>presenterade senaste nytt om det astrometriska projektet Gaia, som han levt med st&ouml;rre delen av sitt forskarliv, och huvudf&ouml;redragsh&aring;llaren, litteraturprofessorn<strong> Johan Stenstr&ouml;m.<\/strong> N&auml;r Johan inledde med att ber&auml;tta om hur Aniara kommit till 1953 efter en kv&auml;ll, d&aring; Harry Martinson tittat p&aring; Andromedagalaxen genom sin f&auml;ltkikare, f&ouml;rstod vi att f&ouml;redraget skulle bli n&aring;got exceptionellt. Martinson blev s&aring; tagen av sin upplevelse att han gick in och la sig p&aring; soffan, d&auml;r dikterna bara str&ouml;mmade ut ur honom. Jag gjorde d&aring; lumpen i Ronneby, och min syster och hennes man hade ett hus i J&auml;msh&ouml;g.\n\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t&#8211; Min sv&aring;ger hade en kusin som var gift med sonen till den gamle pensionerade rektorn <strong>Hugo Eriksson<\/strong> i J&auml;msh&ouml;g. P&aring; s&aring; s&auml;tt kom det sig att jag och vi andra blev inbjuda till den f.d. rektorn. Han visade sig k&auml;nna Harry Martinson mycket v&auml;l, de var goda v&auml;nner.
