Det l&auml;r bli en helt annorlunda p&aring;skexhibition 2017!\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"AdPosition-container\">\n\t<strong>Churchill: &quot;&Auml;r vi ensamma i universum?&quot;<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>\n\tVi vet att <strong>Winston S Churchill<\/strong>, den legendariske brittiske premi&auml;rministern under krigs&aring;ren, omgavs av kunniga vetenskapsm&auml;n (<strong>Sir Frederick Lindemann, A C B Lovell<\/strong>, han hade mer eller mindre framg&aring;ngsrika meningsutbyten med <strong>Niels Bohr <\/strong>m fl), men var fick han all sin astronomiska kunskap ifr&aring;n?\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Carl-Olof B&ouml;rjeson tipsar om <\/strong>en&nbsp; artikel i dagens <em>Svenska Dagblade<\/em>t vars ursprung &auml;r ett manus i vilket Churchill st&auml;llde sig fr&aring;gan: &Auml;r vi ensamma i universum?<br \/>\n\t<strong>Anledningen &auml;r en ess&auml; <\/strong>om rymden som Churchill har skrivit och som nu delvis publicerats i den vetenskapliga tidskriften <em>Nature.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ImageHandler-e1487346376391.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ImageHandler\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-70138\" height=\"245\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/ImageHandler-e1487346376391.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n\t<em>Fr&aring;n en utst&auml;llning&nbsp; i London. Han &auml;ndrade rubriken p&aring; sin artikel&nbsp; fr&aring;n &quot;Are We Alone in Space?&quot;&nbsp; till &quot;Are We Alone in the Universe?&quot;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Churchill &auml;r v&auml;l uppdaterad i &auml;mnet<\/strong>, diskuterar vattnets betydelse t ex, &ldquo;all living things of the type we know require water&rdquo;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Han diskuterar den beboeliga zonens<\/strong> betydelse, att liv bara kan existera&nbsp; &ldquo;between a few degrees of frost and the boiling point of water&rdquo;. Mars och Venus &auml;r m&ouml;jliga livb&auml;rande kandidater i v&aring;rt eget planetsystem, men absolut inte Merkurius, inte m&aring;nen eller asteroiderna.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Artikelf&ouml;rfattaren Mario Livio<\/strong> i <em>Nature<\/em> p&aring;pekar att Churchill b&ouml;rjade skriva p&aring; sin artikel kort tid efter <strong>Orson Welles<\/strong> radiodrama byggt p&aring; <strong>H G Wells<\/strong> <em>V&auml;rldarnas krig<\/em> s&auml;nts, pj&auml;sen som skakade om radiolyssnarna i USA &#8211; m&aring;nga trodde att anfallet fr&aring;n Mars handlade om rena rama verkligheten.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/wellswelles-e1487346577162.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wellswelles\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-70140\" height=\"381\" src=\"https:\/\/www.astb.se\/cassiopeiabloggen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/wellswelles-e1487346577162.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n\t<em>Tv&aring; inspirat&ouml;rer? Bild fr&aring;n n&auml;tet.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Churchills artikel, som vi inte vet <\/strong>om den publicerades n&aring;gonstans, &auml;r hemmastadd i tidens teorier om planetbildning; britten <strong>James Jeans<\/strong> hade l&auml;nge pl&auml;derat f&ouml;r att planeter uppst&aring;r n&auml;r tv&aring; stj&auml;rnor passerar n&auml;ra varandra, vilket gjorde planeter till en s&auml;llsynt vara i Vintergatan. &ldquo;But this speculation depends upon the hypothesis that planets were formed in this way.
