Utan damm hade v\u00e5rt solsystem inte bildats. Men var kommer dammkornen ifr\u00e5n, och hur utvecklas de? Det ska fyra forskare p\u00e5 Chalmers och G\u00f6teborgs universitet f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka besvara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Att vi kan kombinera v\u00e5ra spetskompetenser betyder att vi kan g\u00e5 \u00f6ver \u00e4mnesgr\u00e4nserna f\u00f6r att tillsammans hantera en mycket grundl\u00e4ggande fr\u00e5ga inom astronomin, n\u00e4mligen vad \u00e4r stoftets ursprung och \u00f6de i universum, s\u00e4ger Kirsten Kraiberg Knudsen vid institutionen f\u00f6r rymd-, geo- och milj\u00f6vetenskap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det fem\u00e5riga projektet leds av Kirsten Kraiberg Knudsen. I projektet deltar \u00e4ven <strong>Susanne Aalto <\/strong>och <strong>Wouter Vlemmings<\/strong> p\u00e5 Chalmers, tillsammans med <strong>Gunnar Nyman<\/strong> fr\u00e5n G\u00f6teborgs universitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Att det blev storslam&nbsp;f\u00f6r Chalmers i \u00e5r bevisas \u00e4ven av de stora anslagen till <strong>Andreas Heinz<\/strong> &amp; Co&nbsp;(&#8220;Creation of heavy elements in neutron-star mergers&#8221;) och <strong>Mikael K\u00e4ll<\/strong> m fl (\u201dMetasurface-Emitting Lasers: Tomorrows Light Sources for Applied Photonics\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Lund gl\u00e4ds alla \u00f6ver drygt 20 miljoner till satsningen \u201dGalactic Time Machine\u201d lett av prof <strong>Sofia Feltzing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">P\u00e5 g\u00e5ng: Radioastronomi fr\u00e5n m\u00e5nens baksida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tack till <strong>Tomas Diez<\/strong> som tipsar om <a href=\"https:\/\/public.nrao.edu\/gallery\/spacecraft-dapper-will-study-dark-ages-of-the-universe-in-radio-waves\/\">ett synnerligen avancerat och spektakul\u00e4rt projekt<\/a>: Att fr\u00e5n m\u00e5nens baksida, d\u00e4r det r\u00e5der radiotystnad fr\u00e5n jorden, skanna av v\u00e5rt universum i jakten p\u00e5 de f\u00f6rsta stj\u00e4rnorna i v\u00e5rt universum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO)&nbsp;samarbetar med &nbsp;NASA i detta f\u00f6rs\u00f6k att tr\u00e4nga genom eonerna tillbaka till v\u00e5rt universums ( f\u00b4l\u00e5t skriver oftast numera &#8220;v\u00e5rt universum&#8221;) m\u00f6rka tids\u00e5lder runt 380 000 \u00e5r efter Big Bang. Ett antal \u00e5r tar det att konstruera antenner och annan sofistikerad &nbsp;teknik men m\u00e5let \u00e4r att DAPPER ska upp ungef\u00e4r samtidigt med att NASA lands\u00e4tter minst en kvinna och en man p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen en bit in&nbsp;p\u00e5 2020-talets mittf\u00e5ra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c4nnu mer &#8220;zoom-astronomi&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carl-Olof B\u00f6rjeson <\/strong>ber\u00e4ttar att nu har amerikanerna p\u00e5 allvar b\u00f6rjat zoom-m\u00f6tas, som h\u00e4r d\u00e4r<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lindahall.org\/event\/science-matters-lunch-learn-astronomy-whats-up-in-the-sky-for-2021\/\"> n\u00e4sta \u00e5rs sk\u00e5despel p\u00e5 himlavalvet ska diskuteras.<\/a> Kanske vi ska h\u00e4nga p\u00e5 f\u00f6r att se om det \u00e4r n\u00e5got vi kan stj\u00e4la?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda Hall Library d\u00e4r zoom-m\u00f6tet\u00a0styrs upp ifr\u00e5n\u00a0&#8211; Kansas City, Missouri &#8211; \u00e4r ett stort vetenskapshistoriskt bibliotek med rara saker av <strong>Tycho Brahe, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton <\/strong>m fl i samlingarna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inom ASTB&nbsp;har vi ju tack vare v\u00e5r ordf<strong> Peter Linde<\/strong> legat i zoom-framkanten under hela coronael\u00e4ndet. Vi har l\u00e4rt oss mycket och en hel del tar vi med oss in i v\u00e5r cyberframtid \u00e4ven efter coronan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stj\u00e4rnf\u00f6rs\u00f6ket i hamn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Projektet att f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka m\u00e4ta ljusf\u00f6roreningarna i Sverige, <strong>Urban Erikssons <\/strong>sk\u00f6tebarn Stj\u00e4rnf\u00f6rs\u00f6ket, <a href=\"https:\/\/forskarfredag.se\/forskarfredags-massexperiment\/stjarnforsoket-2019\/\">har nu avrapporterats<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r bara att konstatera att \u00e4ven i avl\u00e5nga Sverige har vi f\u00e5tt problem. Det finns en mycket anv\u00e4ndbar interaktiv karta d\u00e4r vi kan surfa in om och se hur svaga stj\u00e4rnor vi kan se f\u00f6r blotta \u00f6gat p\u00e5 vissa platser.
