Vad beror det p\u00e5?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2105.13663\">Nya simuleringar <\/a>visar att en ung &#8220;proto-Uranus&#8221; kolliderade med en kosmisk j\u00e4ttesten tre ggr jordens massa med en nedslagshastighet p\u00e5 18,2 km\/s, vilket r\u00e4ckte f\u00f6r att gasj\u00e4tten skulle kantra. Dessutom skapades Uranus &#8220;regul\u00e4ra&#8221; m\u00e5nar som en direkt f\u00f6ljd av nedslaget, m\u00e5narna skapades inte i den mera sedvanliga ackretionsdisken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forskarna pratar om en &#8220;oblique collision&#8221; med en s\u00e5 kallad impact parameter p\u00e5 0,75, vilket betyder att sm\u00e4llen inte skedde rakt p\u00e5 utan att nedslaget skedde snett fr\u00e5n sidan. F\u00f6r att unders\u00f6ka processen n\u00e4rmare observerade en grupp astronomer ett antal n\u00e4rbel\u00e4gna galaxer med kraftfulla teleskop p\u00e5 marken och i rymden f\u00f6r att unders\u00f6ka de olika regionerna i galaxen d\u00e4r stj\u00e4rnbildning sker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forts\u00e4ttningen p\u00e5 ESO:s pressmess <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/sweden\/news\/eso2110\/?lang\">kan l\u00e4sas h\u00e4r.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Var kommer de tunga grund\u00e4mnena ifr\u00e5n?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ytterligare ammunition till diskussionen om var universums tunga grund\u00e4mnen h\u00e4rr\u00f6r ifr\u00e5n<a href=\"https:\/\/physicsworld.com\/a\/exploding-stars-alone-cannot-account-for-rapid-heavy-element-production-study-reveals\/\"> har nyligen publicerats<\/a> &#8211; baserat p\u00e5 fynd i jordklotets inre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Id\u00e9n  om att supernovor finns med i ekvationen st\u00e4mmer delvis, men bara delvis.
