Vi ser inte dessa p\u00e5 bild s\u00e5 ofta. Samtidigt utg\u00f6r O-stj\u00e4rnan, som omtalas nedan, en specialgren f\u00f6r n\u00e5gra f\u00e5 astronomer som intresserar sig f\u00f6r massiva O-stj\u00e4rnor med kraftiga magnetf\u00e4lt 20 000 ggr (20 kk) starkare \u00e4n solens. F\u00e4lten med medf\u00f6ljande magnetosf\u00e4r samverkar med stj\u00e4rnvinden, bromsar upp stj\u00e4rnans axelrotation och st\u00e4ller till diverse konstigheter. Spektrumen med Zeeman-effekt sp\u00f6kar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bilden ovan\u00a0visar NGC 1624, en ung liten \u00f6ppen stj\u00e4rnhop som ligger omg\u00e4rdad av en emissionsnebulosa Sh2-212 i stj\u00e4rnbilden Perseus. Avst\u00e5ndet till oss uppskattas till 20\u00a0000 ljus\u00e5r och \u00e5ldern p\u00e5 stj\u00e4rnhopen \u00e4r mindre \u00e4n 4 miljoner \u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Den starkaste stj\u00e4rnan som syns i centrum av nebulosan \u00e4r NGC 1624-2, en massiv ung bl\u00e5 stj\u00e4rna av typ O och den mest magnetiserade typ O-stj\u00e4rna som vi k\u00e4nner till. Magnetf\u00e4ltet \u00e4r ungef\u00e4r 20\u00a0000 g\u00e5nger starkare \u00e4n f\u00e4ltet p\u00e5 solen.
