Uppt\u00e4ckten publicerades nyligen i den vetenskapliga tidskriften\u00a0<em>Nature Communications Earth and Environment<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r n\u00e4r partiklar fr\u00e5n solvinden, fr\u00e4mst protoner, tr\u00e4ffar m\u00e5nens yta som det uppst\u00e5r en reaktion och de negativa v\u00e4tejonerna bildas. IRF utvecklade och byggde NILS p\u00e5 uppdrag av den europeiska rymdorganisationen (ESA) i samarbete med Kinas National Space Science Center (NSSC). NILS var det f\u00f6rsta m\u00e4tinstrumentet n\u00e5gonsin som designats f\u00f6r att m\u00e4ta negativa joner bortom jorden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Att finna negativa joner p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen var en otroligt sp\u00e4nnande prestation. Institutets arbete med m\u00e5nforskning b\u00f6rjade redan 2008 med m\u00e4tinstrument ombord p\u00e5 den indiska m\u00e5nsonden Chandrayaan-1 och under de kommande \u00e5ren kommer IRF att fortsatt vara aktiv n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att utforska m\u00e5nen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med flera kommande m\u00e5nuppdrag och avancerade m\u00e4tinstrument under utveckling \u00e4r IRF i framkant n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att avsl\u00f6ja m\u00e5nens mysterier \u2013 fr\u00e5n dess ytsammans\u00e4ttning till hur den samspelar med rymdmilj\u00f6n.
